Accounts Payable Officer

Meliteh Recruiting is on the lookout for an Accounts Payable Officer to join our well-known client's team in Malta.

The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering high-quality service, with a keen eye for detail.

This role is responsible for managing vendor accounts, reconciling statements, processing payments, and liaising with various departments to ensure smooth financial operations.

Role Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a similar accounting or accounts payable role
  • Proficiency in English (both oral and written)
  • Strong MS Office skills, particularly in Excel and Word
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational, multitasking abilities, and attention to detail
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of Shireburn accounting software is considered an asset
  • Legal right to live and work in the EU
Main Duties:
  • Reconcile suppliers' statements, resolve discrepancies, and process payments accordingly
  • Post general invoices, ensuring alignment with quotes and approved purchase orders
  • Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
  • Liaise with Cost Controllers and suppliers to request credit notes
  • Analyze accruals and prepayments, ensuring timely receipt of general invoices
  • Generate ad-hoc reports as required by the Financial Controller
