Contract Manager

Meliteh Recruiting is seeking a highly skilled Contracts Manager on behalf of our well-known client to oversee the development, negotiation, and administration of contracts for complex construction and supplier projects.

This role requires strong expertise in FIDIC contracts, excellent negotiation skills, and a proactive approach to managing risks, ensuring compliance, and maintaining smooth communication between all project stakeholders.

Role Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Certification in contract management (e.g., CCM, CPCM) is an advantage
  • Proven experience in contract management within construction or related industries
  • Strong understanding of contracts, legal terminology, and risk management practices
  • Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail with strong organizational abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Main Duties:
  • Draft, review, and finalize project contracts, including construction agreements, subcontracts, and supplier agreements
  • Lead contract negotiations, ensuring terms align with project objectives and effectively mitigate risks
  • Facilitate collaboration and clear communication among all involved parties during contract negotiations
  • Leverage expertise in FIDIC contracts to ensure compliance and effective management of provisions
  • Coordinate and obtain necessary approvals for timely contract execution
  • Maintain an organized and up-to-date contract database, including amendments and correspondence
  • Monitor contract performance and compliance throughout project lifecycles
  • Address and resolve contract-related disputes efficiently
  • Evaluate and manage contract change requests, variations, and amendments with proper documentation
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess the impact of changes on project scope, schedule, and budget
  • Identify potential contractual risks and develop effective mitigation strategies
  • Ensure compliance with insurance, bonding, and indemnification requirements specified in contracts
  • Foster effective communication between all project stakeholders regarding contractual matters
  • Work closely with project managers, procurement teams, and legal advisors to ensure consistent interpretation of contract terms
  • Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance to ensure adherence to quality and performance standards
  • Evaluate contractor performance against contract requirements and provide input for reviews
  • Prepare detailed reports on contract status, progress, and potential issues for presentation to management and stakeholders
  • Ensure all contractual communications, decisions, and changes are systematically documented for reference and audit purposes
