Cost Controller

Meliteh Recruiting is seeking a meticulous and analytical Cost Controller to join our client's team on a full-time basis in Malta. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate cost management and identifying opportunities for improvement in the cost of goods and consumables.

Main Duties:
  • Conduct spot checks upon receiving and posting invoices
  • Review, investigate, and explain cost budget variances on a monthly basis
  • Analyze the monthly cost of goods to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Analyze monthly wastages and consumables costs to address any cost overruns promptly
  • Perform stock-takes and spot checks in various outlets
  • Analyze stock variances from physical inventory cycle counts and stock-takes
  • Close consumption reports on a monthly basis
  • Drive process improvements to achieve goals and KPIs
Role Requirements:
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in using relevant software for data analysis and reporting
  • Ability to perform accurate stock-takes and analyze inventory data
  • Strong communication skills to effectively explain cost variances and improvement opportunities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Right to live and work in the EU
