Sales Executive

Meliteh Recruiting is seeking a mature, responsible, and self-confident professional to join our client's Sales Team as a Sales Executive on a full-time basis in Malta. This role is crucial for driving sales strategies within the Leisure Groups/MICE market.

The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive support to the sales department, handle administrative tasks, and maintain excellent client relationships. An excellent personal presentation and an outgoing personality are essential, as the role may involve hosting clients for lunch/dinner and hotel show-arounds.

Main Duties:
  • Ensure clients and guests receive pleasant and efficient personalized service through constant coordination with other departments
  • Keep administrative work up-to-date and maintain accurate records in the operating system
  • Develop and maintain high-level communication and effective relations with colleagues and clients
  • Maintain a proactive sales attitude and identify sales opportunities within the hotel
  • Assist in upselling rooms, food and beverage, and other revenue-generating products
  • Stay updated on market needs, trends, and behavior changes to adopt proactive strategies
  • Actively contribute towards achieving the Revenue Plan objectives
  • Monitor customer feedback and address concerns promptly
  • Fulfill any additional requests from the Director of Sales/Sales Manager
  • Right to live and work in the EU
Role Requirements:
  • Eligibility to work in the EU and preferably already residing in Malta
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the hospitality sector
  • Knowledge of the local market, especially with Leisure Groups, MICE, and local DMCs, is considered an asset
  • Excellent customer relationship management skills
  • Proficiency in verbal and written communication in English; knowledge of German, Polish, or French is an asset
  • Ability to work independently with high motivation and thrive in a team environment
  • Highly organized, analytical, and smart in appearance
  • Exceptional customer service skills, both in person and over the phone
  • Good working knowledge of Hotel Management Systems and their reservations functions/reporting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Own transport is required
