Director or Sales

The Director of Sales will lead a dynamic sales team to drive business development and revenue growth while ensuring exceptional client relationships.

This role involves collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to position the hotel as a leader in the competitive landscape.

Role Requirements
  • Leadership experience with a strong track record of driving sales performance in hospitality
  • Expertise in business development, client relationship management, and revenue generation
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, sales tools, and operational procedures
  • Deep knowledge of local and regional markets, trends, and competition
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical skills for market data and strategy development
  • High energy with exceptional interpersonal and motivational abilities
  • Proficient in conveying complex concepts both verbally and in writing
  • Strong public speaking and presentation capabilities
  • Adept at engaging diverse audiences and fostering lasting relationships
  • Legal right to live and work in the EU
Main Duties
  • Implement strategic initiatives to drive revenue across market segments
  • Consistently surpass personal and team revenue goals and quarterly/annual targets
  • Identify new markets, clients, and opportunities, adapting to economic and market changes
  • Build and sustain client relationships, acting as a senior representative for sales efforts
  • Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and site inspections
  • Collaborate with the Global Sales Office on brand initiatives and account development plans
  • Analyze market trends and propose strategies to enhance market share and optimize rates
  • Foster partnerships with industry counterparts and organizations
  • Innovate to position the hotel as a leader in the competitive landscape
  • Inspire and motivate the sales team to exceed revenue goals and KPIs
  • Set clear individual targets and provide ongoing feedback during one-on-ones and performance reviews
  • Onboard and train new team members for immediate impact
  • Coach team members through the sales process, maximizing revenue opportunities
  • Develop growth plans for team members to enhance retention and advance careers
  • Build a strong talent pipeline through industry networking
  • Lead team meetings and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation
  • Model exceptional hospitality and service standards
  • Collaborate with the Executive team on the annual business plan and revenue strategies
  • Participate in budgeting and forecasting for rooms and catering revenues
  • Prepare and analyze monthly reports for market segments, adjusting strategies as needed
  • Create and refine SOPs to align with business objectives
  • Train the team on CRM tools and International standards, conducting audits for compliance
  • Monitor departmental expenses and propose efficiency improvements
