Assistant Maintenance Manager

Meliteh Recruiting is seeking an experienced Assistant Maintenance Manager on behalf of our well-known client, to join their maintenance team in Malta.

This role focuses on ensuring the effective operation of all maintenance activities across the group.

The Assistant Maintenance Manager will be responsible for coordinating daily tasks, overseeing in-house and outsourced projects, and ensuring high standards of maintenance are met in a timely manner.

This role requires strong organizational and communication skills to effectively liaise with the Maintenance Manager and other department heads.

Role Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry
  • Higher Technical Diploma (HTD) in a relevant technical field or an equivalent qualification
  • Valid Local Electrical License A
Main Duties:
  • Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance operations across departments to ensure efficient workflows
  • Prioritize, plan, and adjust work schedules based on operational needs and project urgency
  • Oversee both in-house and outsourced maintenance work to ensure timely project completion

This is an exceptional opportunity for highly skilled individual with continuous airworthiness knowledge to ensure the ongoing airworthiness of the fleet, manage maintenance programs, and ensure compliance with aviation safety standards. Role Requirements: • Have practical experience and expertise in the application of Aviation Safety Standards and Safe Operating Practices • Relevant parts of Operational Requirements and Procedures • The need for and content of the relevant parts of the Operation Manual • Knowledge of Human factor principles and SMS systems including Compliance monitoring and Annex 19 • Five years relevant work experience in aviation of which at least two years should be in a management position within the aeronautical industry • Have an Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering Degree or an Aircraft Maintenance and/or Technician qualification with additional education acceptable to TM-CAD or other studies relevant to the maintenance of aircraft • Have thorough knowledge of the organization manuals • Have knowledge of the technical methods and knowledge of relevant type(s) of aircraft through a formal training course(s).
