Meliteh Recruiting is hiring a 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐟 to join one of Malta’s leading hospitality and leisure operators.

𝐑𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐊𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:

⊁ Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef within high-volume hospitality or restaurant environments. ⊁ Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, train, and motivate kitchen teams. ⊁ Solid knowledge of food preparation, menu development, and kitchen operations. ⊁ Excellent understanding of food hygiene standards, food safety regulations, and allergen procedures. ⊁ Strong organisational and time-management skills. ⊁ Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high quality and consistency. ⊁ Valid Skill Pass as per local requirements.

𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐃𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬: ⊁ Lead the kitchen team in delivering high-quality food and a consistently exceptional dining experience. ⊁ Oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of all dishes in line with established recipes and quality standards. ⊁ Ensure the kitchen operates in a clean, organised, and efficient manner at all times. ⊁ Manage kitchen setup and breakdown before and after service, ensuring all equipment and ingredients are ready and properly maintained. ⊁ Oversee procurement, stock control, and waste management to ensure freshness, quality, and cost efficiency. ⊁ Collaborate with management on menu planning, contributing to innovative and seasonal dishes aligned with each restaurant concept. ⊁ Maintain and support training programmes for Senior Chefs, promoting professional growth and high culinary standards. ⊁ Ensure strict adherence to site allergen procedures and food hygiene policies. ⊁ Work closely with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless coordination between kitchen and service. ⊁ Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new kitchen team members. ⊁ Maintain documentation related to food safety, hygiene, and kitchen operations.
