This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly expanding hospitality group behind some of Maltaโ€™s most iconic and diverse dining destinations, several of which are recognised in the ๐Œ๐ข๐œ๐ก๐ž๐ฅ๐ข๐ง ๐†๐ฎ๐ข๐๐ž.

๐Ž๐ฎ๐ซ ๐ข๐๐ž๐š๐ฅ ๐œ๐š๐ง๐๐ข๐๐š๐ญ๐ž ๐ž๐ฆ๐›๐จ๐๐ข๐ž๐ฌ ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐ฏ๐š๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ž๐ฌ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐›๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐ : โฆ A genuine love for culinary experiences and a passion for wine and hospitality. โฆ Proven experience in a high-volume restaurant environment, ideally with focus on wine service. โฆ A natural team player, comfortable working in sync with a large team. โฆ Friendly, customer-oriented, and skilled at creating memorable dining experiences.

๐‰๐จ๐› ๐‘๐จ๐ฅ๐ž๐ฌ: ๐€๐ฌ ๐š ๐’๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ž๐ฅ๐ข๐ž๐ซ: โฆ Curate and manage the wine list in collaboration with the restaurant team. โฆ Provide expert wine recommendations and pairings to enhance the guest experience. โฆ Conduct staff training on wine knowledge and service standards. โฆ Oversee proper wine storage, inventory, and ordering. โฆ Engage with guests to share stories, origins, and tasting notes professionally. โฆ Work closely with chefs and FOH team to ensure seamless, elevated service.

๐€๐ฌ ๐š ๐‰๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐จ๐ซ ๐’๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ž๐ฅ๐ข๐ž๐ซ: โฆ Support the sommelier in day-to-day operations. โฆ Assist guests with wine selections and pairings. โฆ Maintain stock levels and ensure correct storage. โฆ Develop wine knowledge through hands-on experience and training. โฆ Deliver exceptional service while learning and growing within the role.

๐‰๐จ๐› ๐‘๐ž๐ช๐ฎ๐ข๐ซ๐ž๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ: โฆ Previous experience in a sommelier or junior sommelier role, or strong front-of-house experience with wine focus. โฆ Solid knowledge of wines, service, and pairings; WSET or similar certification is a plus. โฆ Passion for wine and strong desire to learn and develop professionally. โฆ Excellent communication and guest service skills. โฆ Professional presentation and attention to detail. โฆ Fluent in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
