This role forms part of the day-to-day backbone of the finance function and is ideal for an ambitious junior finance professional looking to grow within a dynamic business environment. 𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐃𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬: ⦁ Handle posting and general ledger maintenance. ⦁ Manage accounts receivable and support collection processes. ⦁ Process accounts payable and supplier payments. ⦁ Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records. ⦁ Support month-end closing activities and reporting processes. ⦁ Assist with financial administration and day-to-day accounting operations. ⦁ Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with internal procedures. ⦁ Collaborate with the wider finance team to support business operations. 𝐑𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬: ⦁ ACCA part-qualified or currently studying toward qualification. ⦁ 1–2 years of experience within an accounts or bookkeeping role. ⦁ Comfortable using accounting software and spreadsheets. ⦁ Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail. ⦁ Ability to work to deadlines within a fast-paced environment. ⦁ Curious mindset with willingness to learn and develop professionally. ⦁ Good communication and teamwork skills. This role is responsible for leading the company’s financial planning and control function, supporting strategic business decisions, and ensuring strong financial governance across the organization. 𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐃𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬: ⦁ Own and manage the financial planning and control function across the company. ⦁ Prepare monthly management accounts and board-level reporting. ⦁ Lead the annual budgeting process and quarterly reforecasts. ⦁ Manage cash-flow forecasting, treasury, and working capital planning. ⦁ Support leadership on commercial and strategic financial decisions. ⦁ Conduct financial analysis on pricing reviews, infrastructure investments, and CapEx initiatives. ⦁ Monitor P&L performance and provide actionable business insights. ⦁ Lead the audit process and ensure tax and statutory compliance requirements are met. ⦁ Improve financial reporting processes, controls, and operational efficiency. 𝐑𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬: ⦁ ACCA qualified or equivalent. ⦁ 5+ years of experience in a finance role, ideally within a managerial position. ⦁ Strong experience in financial planning, budgeting, and cash-flow management. ⦁ Excellent analytical and commercial finance capabilities. ⦁ Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders. ⦁ Familiarity with Maltese tax and statutory reporting requirements. ⦁ Advanced Excel and reporting skills. ⦁ Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail. ⦁ Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
