Nominated Person (Safety, Security & Compliance)

Meliteh Recruiting is hiring a Nominated Person for Safety, Security & Compliance for one of our clients to join their team on a full-time basis in Malta. This senior-level TM-CAD-approved position plays a critical role in the management of the company’s Safety Management System (SMS), Security Program, and Compliance Monitoring System. Reporting directly to the Accountable Manager, this is a key leadership role ensuring adherence to national and international aviation regulations and fostering a culture of safety and compliance across the organization. Role Requirements: • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience, with at least 2 years in the aeronautical industry in a suitable position • A relevant engineering degree or aircraft maintenance technician qualification with additional TM-CAD-acceptable education, OR 5 additional years of relevant experience • In-depth knowledge of aviation safety and security regulations (ICAO, EASA, national/international legislation) • Comprehensive understanding of operational procedures, AOC operations specifications, and manuals • Experience with Safety Investigation techniques, root cause analysis, and Human Factors in aviation • Strong knowledge of Management Systems including SMS, Compliance Monitoring, and Risk Management • Solid understanding of aircraft maintenance methods • TM-CAD acceptance is mandatory • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills • Analytical mindset with data management and problem-solving abilities Main Duties: • Oversee and maintain an effective SMS, Compliance Monitoring System, and Security Program • Act as the main point of contact for all safety, compliance, and security matters • Ensure compliance with ORO.GEN.200 and CAMO.A.200 regulations • Monitor all operational activities for compliance and effectiveness • Facilitate hazard identification, risk analysis, and implement mitigation actions • Supervise internal audits, inspections, and occurrence/accident investigations • Provide regular safety performance reports to senior management • Liaise with authorities, security agencies, and industry groups • Promote safety and security awareness through training and communication • Continuously improve safety and compliance systems through regular reviews and updates Benefits Package: • Full-time contract • Competitive salary • Professional development opportunities • A dynamic and supportive work environment Application Process: • Meliteh Recruiting screening • Client screening • Face-to-face interview We welcome all applications, but please note we will only contact candidates shortlisted in the second round.
