Meliteh Recruiting is seeking a skilled and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to join our client kitchen team on a full-time basis in Malta. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of back-of-house activities and maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and hygiene. Main Duties: • Supervise and coordinate activities related to food preparation, kitchen operations, storeroom management, and stock-taking • Report missing items and kitchen supplies, receive goods through supplier deliveries, and ensure Purchase Orders, invoices, and items received meet quality expectations and are stored immediately • Prepare and portion foods according to standards and specifications, monitoring food surpluses and wastages • Specify the number of servings to be made from raw products to control portion costs and profitability • Ensure cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment is in line and legal Food Safety and Sanitization standards • Supervise cooks to ensure food preparation conforms to recipes and appearance standards specified • Schedule and oversee general cleaning tasks, ensuring thorough follow-up • Ensure all products in fridges and cold rooms are correctly placed, properly labeled, and adhere to expiry dates • Supervise inventory, storage, and distribution of food between outlets • Complete and store all required documentation, including Temperature sheets, line checks, and FSS Kitchen diary, for each shift • Train new cooks according to the training schedule and standards, and report their performance to the Kitchen Manager regularly • Be flexible with shift times, ensuring maximum productivity from all cooks and yourself, while aligning with the company’s labor budgets Role Requirements: • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position • Great attention to detail • Ability to work in high-pressure and fast-paced environments • Strong organizational skills • Flexibility to work on weekends and public holidays • Effective communication skills in English • Right to live and work in the EU Benefits Package: • Full-time contract • Competitive salary • Professional development • A dynamic and supportive work environment Application Process: • Meliteh Recruiting screening • Client screening • Face-to-face interview We welcome all applications, but please note we will only contact candidates shortlisted in the second round.
